Araku Valley & Lambasingi: A Photo Guide to Vizag's Favourite Outstation Trip

Araku Valley and Lambasingi make up the outstation trip most people ask us about first — a full day (or two, if you add Lambasingi) out of Visakhapatnam through the Eastern Ghats, coffee plantations and a couple of genuinely dramatic stops along the way.

Araku Valley

The valley itself is the reason people make the trip — layered hills, coffee and pepper plantations, and the Galikonda viewpoint looking back over the whole valley. It's roughly 2.5-3 hours each way from Vizag by road.

Borra Caves & Lambasingi

On the way, the Borra Caves are worth the detour — a million-year-old limestone cave system with a short guided walk inside. Push on further and Lambasingi, sometimes called Andhra Pradesh's 'Kashmir', gets cold enough some winter mornings for actual frost.
